Hippopotamus Group From Above

I took this photo from the helicopter when we were directly above the group. in addition, the pilot flipped the helicopter 90 degrees so my camera to be vertically over the hippocampus. The landscape was mostly grassland with the main river is flowing through. These hippos gathered in a dry river. It was only a little puddle of water left. The whole river was dry. Boro Jao river near eagle island camp, Okavango delta.
